This is all coming from Comcast. (Comcast owns versus) What gain does Direct tv get out of holding out on Versus? What a broadcast deal for the NHL and its fans. Just another bang up effort on the part of the NHL brass. We’re all looking forward to the next lock out in 2 years….

This is really starting to look like a mess in the making. I hope they get this squabble fixed soon since I can’t watch NHL hockey at work on Monday’s and Tuesday’s on the 4-12 shift.

Bettman is right, as a DirecTV subscriber my most immediate recourse is with DirecTV. I assume he means by cancelling my service. I am not sure that will get me the most satisfaction as I would then have to go through the hassle of setting up service with another provider. News flash to Mr. Bettman, this costs MONEY, which, I am sure, most fans are rather short on given the economy. Why doesn’t he get a TV contract with a ‘real’ network? Oh, wait, the same reason, MONEY.
